We’ve made it to 6 Months!

Jonathan is growing, growing, growing! That means he’s eating, eating, eating! Yay! We went to see his pediatrician for his 6 month shots and check up. He now weighs in at 11 pounds 8.5 ounces!  Corrected he’s only 3 months old, and he’s still small for his corrected age, but he grew more in between visits this time and she was really happy with his growth.  He even showed off for her and pushed himself up off of his tummy and was talking away!

Look at him grabbing her stethoscope!  Ha Ha.  He’s always trying to help!

He enjoys talking with his blue elephant.  I’ve realized elephants seem to be his favorite, so now I’m on the hunt for elephants.   It’s adorable.  As soon as he seems one, he starts smiling.  He has a little one I hang on the canopy of his bassinet and there is an elephant decal on his wall.  He just loves them.

New in his world is that he appears to be teething.  He drools constantly and has fussy moments where all he wants are Sophie or his fists…mommy’s fingers work too!  His pediatrician agreed, he appears to be teething.  We have been given the “all clear” to start feeding him food when he’s ready…holding up his head better and sitting up with less support.  She thinks that will happen in the next month or 2 and we don’t see her for another 3 months.  Wow!  I can’t wait to start making baby food…ha ha.

Jonathan also got to meet Great-Aunt Karen for the first time at a family birthday party!  Aunt Karen isn’t local, so that was awesome!

Mommy is still at home with Jonathan and trying to encourage developmental milestones.  She still thinks work would be easier, but feels so blessed to have this time and the ability to share it with Jonathan.  We will see the developmental clinic in September and see how they feel things are going as well.

We’ll leave you with these pictures of what Jonathan has been up to!  Thanks for checking in!
